The model and package
SKIL lists a 2.8-amp variable-speed random-orbit sander with a dust box and three sanding sheets. Its published speed range is 7,000 to 13,000 OPM. The product is sold as a five-inch model; confirm the exact replacement abrasive pattern before buying a bulk pack.
Picture the job
An included few sheets can help you identify the supplied format, but they do not constitute a complete abrasive plan for every material. Start with the finish supplier’s preparation requirements and an identified surface. Keep a sample piece for testing the actual process. Do not select the maximum speed simply because it appears at the top of a comparison table.
The ownership decision
The visible container may make it easier to notice collected material, but it is not evidence of a measured collection efficiency. Check emptying and cleaning instructions, replacement parts and the intended dust-control setup. Compare the whole cost of consumables and accessories. A lower advertised body price should not hide the items needed to complete your actual project.
