A green-beam alternative for a manual room-recording workflow, with no Bluetooth transfer to manage.

Consider it when identifying the target point is part of your selection criteria and you want calculations on the tool.

Bosch lists a green beam, colour display, two AA batteries and measuring range up to 165 feet. The GLM165-25G offers area, volume and other measurement functions but is not connected. Its technical notes include a separate stakeout accuracy qualification.

Before choosing by beam colour, think about the surfaces and conditions in the actual room. A brighter-looking point in a demonstration does not promise a dependable reading on every target. Follow the manual, confirm the reference setting and repeat the measurements that govern a purchase. Your record should include what was measured, not simply the number copied from the screen.

This is a useful shortlist position between a basic direct-measurement tool and a connected workflow. You can retain your own notebook without adding phone pairing. If automatic transfer is the feature you really need, do not assume a green beam includes it. The similar-looking GLM165-27CG has a different role, so compare the exact suffixes before ordering.

Confirm the 25G model, its operating conditions and current stakeout notes; do not confuse it with the connected 27CG.

Green-beam visibility is not a guarantee of accuracy on every surface or in outdoor sunlight.
