For cupboard planning, start with the dimensions you actually need: the opening, usable depth and any obstruction. A shorter tape can suit those tasks without making a long-range claim relevant. Record the endpoints beside each reading. An advertised box size does not tell you whether it will pass a hinge or remain convenient to remove when full.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Choose the shorter format deliberately. It may be enough for furniture but cannot cover every wall as one continuous reading. Do not combine separate measurements without recording the intermediate reference. Handle the lock and read the scale at a representative angle before choosing.
